Description
The Maximilian Loafer is a high-quality shoe produced by our own craftsmen. The leather is cut and the upper assembled entirely by hand in our Rome workshop.
To produce the Maximilian, Calzoleria Petrocchi uses only carefully selected leathers such as Italian and French kid which have been tanned by natural and aniline processes to emphasise the original characteristics of the skins.
Only Italian leather is used for the outsole, the midsole and heel. The leather sole is light and flexible.
The seam of the top part of the upper, the vamp, is carefully stitched to form a small profile. Roman shoemakers have traditionally called this stitched profile the “maccheroncino”. The tassel is hand-made and colour matched to the upper, and the woven band is in kid.
The sole is stitched with the Blake technique, a single seam uniting the sole, the upper and the inner sole. Calzoleria Petrocchi makes the Maximilian Loafer in a range of leathers and colours. To view the other loafer models that we produce, please click here.
